I'm just writing a little post with some details of my track way investigation today. Got a text late last night from my son saying that a couple of his buddies were looking for a place to camp this weekend in the area that I do my "research" in. They were in a panic because they found what they believed to be Sasquatch prints. They took a couple of pics and a little video and to say they were excited would be an understatement! The first thing I thought to myself was that these guys were playing a trick on my son for one reason or another so I didn't get overly excited about it myself. I didn't get a chance to talk to my son until this morning when he explained that these two kids were dead serious and that they swore they were not joking. The area that they found these prints in is an area that we get a ton of activity in. I already detailed the area in a previous blog post titled "Do Bigfoot Play Hide and Seek??" It's the same area that I had one of my close encounters in.
So I blow off work today to go check these prints out. I eventually find them about a 3/4 of a mile from where I parked my vehicle. At first glance I was pissed that I was duped into missing work for some human foot prints. The largest print I measured was 10" long, 2-1/2" wide at heel, and 4" wide at the widest part. Well within the size range of an average sized person. There were probably 3 or 4 different sized prints in all. The prints went back and forth on the trail for probably 1/4 mile until I lost them for a couple hundred yards. I then picked up a single set continuing down the trail for a while until I lost that one. This routine happens a couple more times until I come to a large muddy area with huge puddles of standing water. I find several of the different sized tracks again coming into this muddy area from different angles...not the main trail. One of the sets goes right through the deep mud puddle and the others walk around the water but directly through the mud. Why would people do this??? I had traveled at least a mile by this time and my mind starts to wonder. Could these be Squatch tracks???
I'm puzzled to say the least. I am having a hard time believing that anyone would walk bare footed, this far, through pretty crappy terrain. I picture myself walking in that crap and I would probably be tip toeing and at least show some sign of my uncomfortableness (yes I made that word up), but these ones absolutely do not!!
I have to admit that I'm starting to think these might be the real deal. They obviously are not mature adult Sasquatch, but most likely a couple juveniles out for a walk. I'm inventing this whole scene in my head and I'm forgetting about thinking clear and analytically. I'm most definitely not a track expert and these are the first ones that I ever studied. So I have a lot to learn about tracks and the differences between Squatch and humans. So I posted some pictures on Facebook with the hopes that someone who actually knows these differences would respond. I was elated when Tyler Bounds gave me some help and stated that they were human tracks made when the ground was soft...most likely during or right after it rained. His advice is what brought my mind back to reality and what I had known all along. A little later Derek Randles, who I am a huge fan of, reiterated Tylers opinion that they were indeed human. He even shared a cool little detail about one of the tracks. The two smallest toes were squished together, which shows that they were crammed into tight fitting shoes over a long period of time. I had never even thought of looking for that.
Even though the reality was that these were human prints I still wanted to continue my education by casting a couple of the tracks. I had never done it before and it would be great practice.
Most people would of looked at my day and thought that it was a huge waste of time, I don't. I learned a lot from two expert Squatchers, practiced casting a track, and most of all I got into the woods.

Great documentary on Bigfoot
If you haven't seen this documentary it is a MUST see! Listen to Bob Gimlin tell his story for the first time on TV about what he witnessed at Bluff Creek California on October 20, 1967. What a remarkable story and hard to dismiss as a tall tale! Watch as forensic experts recreate the famous Patterson/Gimlin film site and try to get answers to the decades long question....Is Patty a real living Bigfoot?
I found a couple more videos of Mysterious Encounters that I'm adding to this post. They are still about Bigfoot but totally new episodes and they feature some big names of the Bigfoot community a lot younger and a little lighter lol I think you'll enjoy this!

BFRO Report 4117: Sasquatch moves out of a squat position to a run when hit by vehicle head lights
BFRO Report 4117: Sasquatch moves out of a squat position to a run when hit by vehicle head lights
When I was in my early twenties I lived in the little College town of Indiana Pennsylvania. I had just started bow hunting and I had no place to go since I was new to the area. I eventually met a few guys that had some local connections that had a place to hunt and they invited me to go. It was awesome hunting and the deer, turkey, and grouse were plentiful. This particular night one friend and myself head out for an evening hunt. The property was old reclaimed strip mines that sat on the outskirts of town off of Rt 286. The plan was to walk together for a few hundred yards and then go in opposite directions to our chosen stand sites. At the end of our hunt, we would meet at the same spot and walk out together.
It was a very windy evening and there wasn't much in the way of deer movement. A front seemed to be moving in and the sky was darkening. As I sat patiently waiting for a deer to appear I hear this blood curdling, high pitched scream that can only be described as a woman being stabbed to death. It scared the living heck out me and because of the wind I couldn't tell the direction of the scream. But it was definitely inside of 100 yards and I was petrified. All of the sudden I see a deer come flying past my perch with total unbridled fear in its eyes. What the heck made that noise and where in the heck is it?
The sky was darkening by the minute and I usually make a habit of staying in my stand till well after dark to lessen the likely hood of spooking deer, but NOT tonight!I started down the ladder, knees wobbling from fear. I hit the ground and turn at the sound of stick crack to see my hunting partner 15 yards and closing. I already knew by the look at his face that he heard it too. "What the frick was that??" were his words (the G rated version). I said that I had no clue and that we should get moving because of the dark. On the ride back to town we tried every rational explanation as to what made that scream. Everything from a deer to a porcupine and everything in between. Nothing made sense to us and eventually after several weeks we quit worrying about it.
Fast forward to 2011 when I started getting back into the Bigfoot realm. I had just found the BFRO data base and I was in heaven. I browsed every report I could and was fascinated with all of the first hand accounts by eye witnesses. I have to admit that eye witnesses are the biggest reason for my unwavering belief in Sasquatch. I am of the opinion that not every person is lying so that leaves a large percentage of witnesses that are telling the truth about seeing a Bigfoot. But anyway, I was browsing the Pennsylvania sighting reports and I started with the county I currently live in, then I browsed the county that I grew up in, and then I noticed Indiana county. I clicked on the BFRO Report 4117 and read the eye witness account and realized it was the same location that I used to hunt in. I almost fell over in shock. Could that of been a Bigfoot that made that scream or is this just a huge coincidence???
Please if anyone has any suggestions as to what they think might of made that scream. I am all ears! This blog is for openly discussing Bigfoot and I encourage dialogue. If there is a rational explanation I would love to hear it.

Justin Smeja- Killed two Bigfoot???
Did Justin Smeja shoot two Bigfoot, killing one and possibly both? I personally believe Justin 150%. After listening to him I never get the sense that he's lying or embellishing his story in the least. Whether you feel that it was right or wrong is not the purpose of this posting. Just FYI Justin and the "Driver" passed a polygraph test. The odds that both men cheated the test is minuscule! Listen and you decide!
The top image is an artist rendition of the baby Squatch that Justin held in his arms as it died. The bottom was the "Parent" Squatch that Justin shot first.
Throwback Tuesday-In search of with Leonard Nimoy

Fun weekend!
Had a blast this past weekend with my kids and some of our friends. We caught some fish, enjoyed the heck out of the outdoors and made a bunch of memories. No Squatch though.....
